Police, Coober Pedy

A supplementary question put forward to the Hon. P. HOLLOWAY regarding Police Officers in Coober Pedy.

The Hon. J.M.A. LENSINK: I have a further supplementary question. Will the minister undertake to provide a report to the council on the operational duties and location of all the alleged new police officers since this government came to office?

The Hon. P. HOLLOWAY: This is the sort of reason why the people of South Australia do not want them. If they really think that the resources of the police force of this state are better utilised in providing that sort of information, and if they think that police officers should be gathering that sort of information (because where else would it come from?), rather than being out on the beat and catching crooks, there is something wrong with them.
