Community organisations can apply for grants of up to $50,000 through the State Government’s Grants SA program from today.

Grants SA will provide about $3 million in grants in 2018-19 to improve community participation, wellbeing and quality of life for South Australians, particularly those experiencing disadvantage.

Through Grants SA, community organisations only need to apply once to be considered for funding across all available grants programs including volunteer and multicultural grants.

Applications have opened for the first major, medium and minor grant rounds for 2018-19.

Grants SA major grants are open for application twice a year, for grants of $20,001 to $50,000. Medium grants of $5,001 to $20,000 will be open four times a year, and minor grants of up to $5,000 will be open all year round.

Minister for Human Services Michelle Lensink said Grants SA invests in community organisations to deliver programs, services and events that strengthen South Australian communities.

“These grants provide an opportunity for not-for-profit organisations to deliver a diverse range of community projects, such as upgrades to community facilities, holding a community event, purchasing equipment, and volunteer training,” Minister Lensink said.

“I encourage community organisations to consider applying for funds through Grants SA to support their important community projects in 2018-19.”

Grants SA is administered by the Department of Human Services in partnership with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
