The Hon J.M. GAZZOLA asked a question to the Miniser for Sustainability, Environment and Conservation regarding ways the state government is involving more mmebers of the community in hte decision-making process and how this will improve outcomes.
The Hon. J.M.A. LENSINK ( 14:58 :00 ): Supplementary: can the minister outline what decision-making framework is utilised to work out which of the jury recommendations will be adopted and which ones won't be?
The Hon. I.K. HUNTER (Minister for Sustainability, Environment and Conservation, Minister for Water and the River Murray, Minister for Climate Change) ( 14:58 :17 ): As I have said in this place previously, the government will take the decisions from the citizens' jury and I will table it in this chamber and I will also table the government's response. I will take that through a cabinet process, as is normal, and bring back a cross-agency response which will outline whether the government accepts the recommendations and, if the government doesn't, give reasons for that.
