Bushfires

A supplementary question put forward to the Hon. CARMEL ZOLLO in relation to the bushfire season.

The Hon. J.M.A. LENSINK: I have a supplementary question. Given the encroachment of a number of significant fires after the expiration of the bushfire season earlier this year, does the minister at this stage anticipate any alteration to the parameters in the upcoming bushfire season?

The Hon. CARMEL ZOLLO: The issue is constantly being monitored and I can assure the honourable member that a significant body of work has been done in relation to community education, and a position on bushfire warnings will be in place. There will be changes and they will be put in place well before the next bushfire season.
